There are tons of great weapons in games. But some rise above the rest and for whatever reason they just blow away the competition. Why? I don’t know, this is totally subjective but it’s something I’ve noticed and is just a list for fun. This is the top 17 most satisfying and gratifying PC game weapons I’ve come across. Games were chosen on the basis of that intangible feeling of awesomeness that I got when playing them. Whether it be from sound, visual feedback, “feel”, etc. Why 17? Because it’s an odd number, very odd.
Benchmarking with Mafia II using my system. Did three separate tests with APEX PhysX off, on medium, and high settings. As for the actual demo, go out and get it, it’s alot of fun to play, and looks good too across a wide range of systems. While my system here would be best left with APEX PhysX completely off, you’re only losing out on effects physics, nothing that really changes the gameplay dynamics. Looks really cool though. I’m also not too sure if Nvidia graphics cards handle APEX natively or hand it off to the CPU just the same as with an ATi card. My video review of Key’s eldest visual novel title, Kanon. Enjoy! For those unaware, you need a copy of the Japanese version of the Kanon PC game to play the English translation. After installing the game, you need the patch you can find here: radicalr.pestermom.com You can find Kanon for sale at places like www.paletweb.com on the web.
FIFA Soccer 11 reinvents player authenticity — on and off the ball — for every player and at every position on the pitch with Personality+, an all-new feature that sees individual abilities reflected in game, enabling clear differentiation for every player. With Personality+ a player’s abilities on the pitch is mirrored authentically in game, creating individual personalities. Players will be distinguished from one another through a sophisticated database that evaluates and grades each player’s skill-set over 36 attributes and 57 traits, compiled by 1700 scouts around the world. Real Madrid’s Kaka will deliver crisp, creative passes, Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta will utilize tighter turns and close control to dribble through defenses, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney will hold off defenders and strike shots from distance with pace, and top-flight defenders like Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus will anticipate, predict and react to offensive players to win back possession. Goalkeepers have also been injected with Personality+. The real-life personality of the keeper, whether acrobatic or traditional, will dictate his style in game. Dive attributes will determine keepers with ability to reach for further shots while reflex attributes determine reaction times, enabling a keeper like Petr Cech of Chelsea FC to showcase world-class skills. Building on the FIFA Soccer 10 gameplay that won 50 sports game of the year awards, FIFA Soccer 11 introduces new Pro Passing where pass …

SC2K is an undeniable classic. But time seems to have forgotten this ill-fated multiplayer version of the ultimate city simulator. Long before the online antics of Spore or The Sims Online, there was Network Edition. Sim City 2000 Network Edition for Windows 95 PCs
Well, I couldn’t wait to play this game back in 2002 (not something I say about many games) and the anticipation was actually deserved. It surpassed my expectations in graphical terms, in control and ease of use over lightsaber combat and force powers. With a decent story, decent voice acting and a good variety of levels this game still feels like a Dark Forces game only BETTER. That’s no easy thing to do and I thoroughly hope they continue this great series in the future.
